On January 19, 2008, Team Kirage competed at the Battle of the Mason Dixon, an RSKC AA rated tournament in Sheperdsville, KY. This was the first outing for Team Kirage and the results were extremely pleasing. The following is a list of how each team member placed in their respective divisions:

Pat Underwood:

• 1st Place - 18-29 Men’s Black Belt Weapons
• 1st Place - 18 & up Men’s Black Belt Open Forms

Greg Woodruff:

• 2nd Place - 18-29 Men’s Black Belt Traditional Forms

Rita Lappert:

• 1st Place - 14-15 Advanced Underbelt Forms
• 2nd Place - 14-17 Advanced Underbelt Weapons
• Youth Underbelt Grand Champion

Connor Griffith:

• 1st Place - 12-13 Advanced Underbelt Forms

Jessica Coffey:

• 1st Place - 13 & Under Black Belt Forms
• 2nd Place - 13 & Under Black Belt Weapons

Erica Light:

• 3rd Place - 14-15 Black Belt Forms
• 6th Place - 14-17 Black Belt Weapons

Bryan Brakeman:

• 4th Place - 14-15 Black Belt Forms
• 7th Place 14-17 Black Belt Weapons

Ginny Light:

• 5th Place - 12-13 Advanced Underbelt Forms
